VeriSight is built to keep as little as possible. This page explains what happens to an image you analyze, and to the few technical details any website handles.

01What we process

VeriSight handles as little as it can. When you analyze an image, we process:

  • The image you upload, along with its file name and size, which appear in your report.
  • Your IP address, to limit how many analyses one address can run in ten minutes. The limiter holds it in memory for up to ten minutes and doesn't write it anywhere.
  • Standard request logs. Like any website, our hosting provider records basic details of each request, such as the time, the page requested, the IP address and the browser type, for security and troubleshooting.
  • Diagnostic records. For each analysis we log a request reference, how long each check took, any error code and a short summary of the outcome, such as whether edited regions were found. These records never contain the image or its file name.

We don't ask for your name, your email address or any other account details.

02How an image moves through VeriSight

  1. On your device. If the file is over the upload limit, your browser re-encodes it to fit before sending it. This happens on your device.
  2. Upload. The image is sent to VeriSight over an encrypted connection.
  3. Analysis. The image is held in memory while the three checks run. For the AI check and the tamper check it is submitted to the detection models. The visual review is computed by VeriSight itself.
  4. Report. The result, including the image and the four views, is sent back to your browser.
  5. Discard. When the analysis ends, VeriSight releases the image from memory. Nothing is saved.

03Who else handles your image

The detection models behind the AI check and the tamper check are run by specialist providers. They receive the image only to score it, return the result to us and don't retain the image afterwards. Our data processing agreements with them require this. They receive a neutral file name, not the name of your file.

Our hosting provider runs the infrastructure VeriSight is served from and processes requests on our behalf.

We don't sell, rent or share data with anyone else, and no advertising or analytics company receives anything from VeriSight.

04How long we keep it

  • The image and its file name: only for the length of the analysis, usually a few seconds.
  • The report: we don't keep it. It lives in your browser tab until you close it or start a new analysis.
  • Your IP address in the rate limiter: up to ten minutes.
  • Request logs and diagnostic records: kept by our hosting provider for a limited period, then deleted automatically.

05Cookies and tracking

VeriSight doesn't set cookies and doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. That's why you won't see a cookie banner.

06What to upload

Images that reach a compliance review often show people: a name on a receipt, attendees at a meeting, a photo on a badge. Before you analyze an image, make sure your organization allows it to be processed this way, and upload only the images your review needs.

The Terms of Service set out what you may and may not upload.

07Your rights

Depending on where you are, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you. Because VeriSight keeps no images, reports or accounts, there is nothing stored that we could look up, correct or delete once an analysis ends. Request logs are deleted automatically after a limited period.

08Children

VeriSight is a professional tool for compliance and audit work. It isn't directed at children.
